"the engineer"
The engineer behind the recording and mixing controls for many artists, Leslie's client history ranges from Roberta Flack and Todd Rundgren to new r&b sensation Terry Steele and the legendary Hiroshima. His music for television recording and mixing credits include "Survivor," "Fear Factor," "GameShow Marathon," "Boy Meets World" and Disney's "Recess."

Leslie has mastered over 100 albums in his personal studio and is equally at home in a large commercial facility or in an artist's home studio.

Current projects include recording/mixing "Legacy," the latest CD for Hiroshima, due out in the fall, mixing new releases for Roy Firestone and singer Anne Walsh, CD mastering "Alafia" for Eversound Records, John Adorney's "The Fountain" and Caroline Waters' "Exposed" and a tour with Terry Steele - "Here & Now, The Legacy of Luther Vandross."

Leslie also has consulted in the capacity of CTO and software design for the innovative music software company Audio Impressions, Inc., developing their patent pending "SPACE" spacial processor software and recording their 192K orchestral sample library.

"the designer"
After spending over twenty years in recording studios, Leslie knows how they work best. He has designed systems to fit a wide variety of needs from commercial music and post facilities to project and artist studios.

Integrating a clients needs with today's changing technology is evident in two complete redesigns for composers Russ Landau (TV's Survivor & Fear Factor) and Denis Hannigan (Nickelodeon's Rugrats and CatDog). Both studios are DAW driven, utilizing multiple computers and have eliminated the physical recording console.

A recent installation for Jordan Tarlow and Martha Quinn in Malibu, CA included a Digidesign Icon and a ProTools HD3 system with a custom 7.1 surround system from Johnson Knowles at RBDG.
Russ Berger Design Group provided the acoustic and build design.

Bi-Coastal Music in New York features a SSL C-200 digital console with 128 digital and 96 analog inputs, a ProTools HD3 Accel system, analog 48 track lockup capability and an array of vintage outboard gear. "the musician"
As one half of the acoustic duo StuccoRainbow, Leslie plays guitar and sings with accomplished singer/songwriter Hillary Black.

A recent solo release for Hillary titled "blackbird" is available from Like Water Falls Records. It features tracks produced and performed by Leslie and a host of friends. Songs include Blackbird, Forever Young, Hold Me Now and Get Together.

A new StuccoRainbow CD titled "seasonsong" is in production and will be available December 2008. It is a collection of holiday favorites in the StuccoRainbow acoustic tradition.

Leslie's wealth of information does not stay locked up in the studio. He has taught audio recording at Temple University in Philadelphia, led numerous training sessions at professional and private studios in Los Angeles and has given over 500 hours of ProTools workshops.

He is available for private instruction and is currently preparing a new seminar entitled "Let It Go - The Core of Creativity." A talk about balancing the technical and the creative."
